Troop  373  Space Exploration and Model Rockets

Class is June 4, 2023  6:30 pm to 8:30 pm  at Church New Life Center 201 W. Sierra Madre Blvd

RSVP for class (and rocket if you want to buy one there, you may buy your own and build it)  by May 30,   Note if you want a class Rocket kit they are $15.

To Earn Space Exploration Merit Badge 1) Attend Class and complete activities there 2) Launch your rocket two times.

At Class RSVP for Launch Date

When: 

June 17, 2023,  Sat. Morning.  7:30 am to 12:00 noon. 

OR

June 25, 2023   Sunday  Morning.  7:15 am to 12:00 noon.

Where: Santa Fe Dam Recreational Area at the end of the parking lots at the dam face.  web page

What:  Launch model rockets.   Rockets will be safety checked before Launch, call me if you have any questions.

Cost:  The Park’s entrance fee is $12 per vehicle.   .

Model Rocket kit Cost : $15 if you do not have a rocket. 

Rocket Engines are $3.00 each at the launch site.

Must RSVP  for Class and to launch - Email or call or text Mr. Sargent.  

(Fall Launch date may be added later if needed)

LAUNCHING: Launching of model rockets anywhere in the State of California requires the permission of the property owner and of the local fire authority.
This fire authority permission should be in the form of a written permit according to the latest directive of the California State Fire Marshal.
