Our Annual Popcorn fundraiser has started !

This is the main fundraiser for our Council and our Troop which receives 30% of sales.
Please ensure you pick up an Order Form and encourage your scouts to participate in this important event for our Troop.
Parents and families are also invited to participate on their behalf.

Selling Popcorn in Troop 373 is optional, there are some benefits to selling popcorn:
1) Teaching salesmanship skills to our scouts (like: politeness, courage, the ability to politely accept no for an answer and the joy of making a sale) .
2) Helps keep Troop 373 membership dues low.
4) Promotes Scouting in the community (uniform)
5) Can support US military service men and women.
6) Scouts enjoy earning Popcorn sale prizes.

7) Basic accounting skills, sold, paid, how much to next prize level..

8) Consider finding a Scout buddy and sell door to door. Scouts gets every other sale.

7) A Scout is LOYAL, by selling BSA products.

     Deadline:       Oct.  17  –  Monday, All orders sheets must be be turned in

     November 12  Sat. – Popcorn will be available for pick up at Church  at Pancake Breakfast

       Troop  373 is joining the BSA District Popcorn Sales Fundraising program.
       Our  Troop earns 33% of every dollar spent!

Awards are given to Scouts for different levels of popcorn sold.

Ways to Sell,  use one or all of them.
1) Paper order sheets, turn in on Oct 17 at Troop meeting. (pick up sheet at any Troop event)
2) Use Trails End website to make your own sales website, then invite others to visit your website. Post on Facebook, email and more. Use Manage Page to make and share site. See Troop 373 website below for sample.
3) Install the
Trails End App on you smart phone or tablet and log in. Take payments with a cube.

Military Donations have changed, as Firefighters have been added, this is now called: American Heroes Donation.

Proudly supporting our military service men and women since 2007 and now supporting Firefighters also.  
Every American Heroes Donation purchase will send delicious popcorn treats to our troops and Firefighters. Popcorn will be shipped to U.S. military personnel serving our country at various military facilities throughout the U.S. and around the world, including products shipped to “Operation USO Care Package”  (www.uso.org/oucp) and Military-Missions.org.

Wear your uniform when selling

POPCORN KICK OFF
It s that time of year again to start selling popcorn. This is a great way for each Pack or Troop to raise money for
themselves. Some of the other reasons to sell popcorn, are, an increase of community awareness of Scouting, Scouts
learn selling skills, it is a confidence builder, and an opportunity for scouts to earn many prizes.

Wear your uniform when selling.   


Our Council is asking that all  Scouts sell at least ONE item and have
     advised the following Prizes and Incentives:

     Why a Popcorn Sale?

            A major source of income for both our Troop and the Council – great commissions for the Troop

            Opportunity for Scouts to earn gift certificates

           Increases community awareness of Scouting

          Scouts learn selling skills and responsibility by earning money for their unit programs

          Builds self-confidence

          Quality product - exclusive gourmet Trail's End popcorn products, including decorative tins perfect for gift giving

     Prizes and Incentives:

                Scouts who sell at least one unit of popcorn will receive a patch.

     Where to Sell?

                Workplace, church, neighborhood, store location

                Door to door (only with at least two Scouts and/or adult in attendance)

     Selling Information:

                Wear scout uniform and never enter people’s homes

                Always go with another scout and/or adult

                Collect money at time of order, if you can.  Make checks payable to “Troop 373”.

                Say ‘”Thank You for the order – see you next year”
 

     We appreciate everyone’s participation – the popcorn is great and there are products for
     everyone.
