Pack 373 Outing

January  23, 2022  Sunday, Family Hike at Bailey Canyon Wilderness Park.

No RSVP needed, come if you can.

The Hike is fairly easy and is open to the whole family. Hike is canceled if it rains.

We will have Two Activities you may join in, feel free to come to one or two:

1) Nature Hike. 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm

2) About 4:00 pm to 4:15 pm Work on the Cub Scout conservation. We will pick up trash at the Park, optional bring gloves, Pack will provide trash bags, but you may bring your owe or a bucket if you wish. Meeting in the parking lot after the hike.

Where: Bailey Canyon: it is at about 481 W. Carter, Sierra Madre CA 91024.

DIRECTIONS to Bailey Canyon (it is at about 481 W. Carter):
From Sierra Madre Blvd. turn north onto Lima St. (Taco place)
Going up Lima, the street will divide. Keep - turn left--this turns into Carter Ave. Go one block to Grove.
Carter ends near the parking lot entrance of the Park.
( Lima St. is 3 blocks East of Michillinda, with a stop sign.)

Bring:  Water bottle, shoes with treads/traction.

We will also work on Leave no Trace and BSA Hiking.

Because Bailey Canyon is a Wilderness Park,  No scout may go exploring the park alone.
Scouts should stay with parent(s) or be OKed to follow Scout buddy system rules.
