When: Saturday, October 26th, from 8:00am - 4:00pm
What: Glendora City has a wide range of trails in their Big Dalton Canyon area. I will need help on the Dunn Canyon Trail.
This trail needs to have big metal baskets filled with rocks secured in place, because a portion of the trial has completely collapsed and requires maintenance.
Where: We will meet at the trail head to Dunn Canyon Trail. It will be right next to a dirt parking lot. On Big Dalton Canyon Road. at about 2741 Big Dalton Canyon Road, Glendora, CA 9174 Gmap map
Directions: From the 210 freeway. Exit Grand Ave. and go north. Go all the way up to Sierra Madre Blvd. and turn right heading east. Stay on this road until you reach Glendora Mt. Road and turn left heading north. Keep heading north until you reach Big Dalton Canyon Road. Turn right and head east on Big Dalton Canyon Road. Take this road (.9miles) till you reach the dirt parking (lot on your right side), just before the water tower.
How: I will need youth and adults to help with cutting and repairing the trail, collecting rocks and trimming some brush. If you own a shovel, pick mattock or rock bar, please bring them.
