God has given each one of our scouts unique
gifts and talents.
The Bear Trail - book gives each Scout achievement choices to
match their
gifts and interest.
Unlike the Wolf Book, you have many more choices.
That is choices to the choices. The Book is laid out in Four
Themes: God,
Country, Family and Self. In each Theme are multiple
topics. Depending
on the Theme, you will pick so many topics you must do.
In each topic you
pick which achievements you want, some may be required. Most
of the Book will be done in Den meetings.
To complete the Bear Trail Book: [Four Themes (see page 262 in the Bear book)]
God: Complete
1 out of 2 do at home
Country: Complete 3 out of 5 2 1/2 done at
den meetings
Family: Complete 4 out of 6
one or two done at den meetings
Self:
Complete 4 out of 11 Done at den meetings
____
So, working on the some of the Family and Country Themes at home
would be a great start to the Bear
Trail.
Once the above Bear trail is completed the Whole Bear book
(electives and un
used achievements ) becomes an arrow point electives book.
So feel free to
do achievements that you may not use for the Bear trail (other
topics in the
Self or Family themes...) thru the scout year.
