Troop 373G Tenderfoot Camp
When: April 1-3, 2022 Saturday to Sunday.
Note new Time Be at Church at 4:30 pm Friday for carpooling. (will return to park Sunday at noon)
Families, let us know if you will be coming late or departing early.
Where: BSA Camp Verdugo Oaks, 38001 Golden State Hwy, Castaic, CA 91384, Gabrielino Campsite gmap
Why: Scouts earn the Rank of Tenderfoot
What: Cooking, Scout Skills, Campfire and Fun.
Cost : $20.00 per scout (and parent), pay when you arrive.
Who: All Troop 373G Scouts, parent(s) welcomed.
Must RSVP in advance (Yes or No please) to Scoutmaster, Scouts and parents attending RSVP also.
Driving: It is about an 1 hour drive, camp is off I- 5, exit Templin Hwy exit 183. (Parents are welcomed to stay overnight,
bring own tent. But are Not required to)

Have Class B ready to put on at Camp

Anytime you hike, bike, backpack or venture into the wilderness, remember

____ 9. Rain Gear - Also can be two large trash bags or rain poncho/solar

Even though there are more than ten items the troop's scout essentials,
are often cited as the 10 Essentials. Each scout shall be responsible for
having in their possession the required Scout Essentials at each camp-out
or hike activity of the troop unless advised otherwise by their junior
or adult leader.
Camp Goals
For Tenderfoot Rank:
Show you have the Scout ESSENTIALS and sleeping bag and sleeping pad
Help set up a tent, sleep in it at least one night.
Use the Outdoor Code on the campout
Assist in preparing one of the meals. Tell
why it is important for each patrol member to share in meal
preparation and cleanup.
Show the appropriate method of
safely cleaning items used to prepare, serve, and eat a meal.
Learn the importance of eating together as a patrol.

During Saturday time there will also be classes on Scout Skills and free fun time.
Friday and Saturday nights will be fun campfire programs.
