Trail to 1st Class - Hike to Echo Mt. (7-miles Round Trip)

End 2 pm at E Loma Alta Dr at Lake Ave, Altadena, CA 91001

What to bring:
At least 2 liters of water
Trail Lunch and trail snack
10 essentials except matches and map

We have a hike scheduled for this Saturday at Echo Mt. This is a 7 mile hike which will satisfy the requirements for 2nd class, hiking with a map and compass. Below is the information for the hike. The hike is split into 2 components, a shorter hike to the picnic area of Echo Mt and a training hike for those going on the Whitney Trip. Older scouts and 2 adults will be needed for the Echo Mt trip. I will be able to meet there but not be able to go on the hike.

Where: Cobb Estates, top of Lake Ave

When: May 14, 7:00 am

Return: 2:00 pm

What to Bring: Scout Essentials, found in Scout book, compass, water (Nalgene Bottle), sunscreen, snacks, lunch, hat, Permission Slip

It is forecast to be 91 degrees on Saturday so bring plenty of water.
